Palmer Alumnae Silent Auction – Donations Needed

Palmer sisters are gathering for brunch on Saturday, October 12th. It’s Homecoming Weekend and yet another chance for you to reconnect. Not sure if your old pals are coming? Let’s call them and find out! It will be a special time for you and your besties from the college days.

In the meantime, wed like to ask for your help in presenting our annual Alumnae silent auction.

The proceeds gathered from the Silent Auction held at this year’s Homecoming Brunch support the efforts of the Palmer Leadership Council, such as our annual Senior Soiree welcoming new Palmer Graduates to the alumnae chapter and the upcoming Palmer Society 100th Anniversary Celebration in 2021.

Homecoming Brunch 2018 – Saturday, October 12th from 10 am to 2 pm

What can I contribute?

This year, we have compiled a wish list of baskets for our Silent Auction. We are asking our fellow Alumnae Sisters to review the attached list and please identify which baskets or items you would like to donate.

What if I don’t know what to provide? What if I don’t have time to shop?

We are also happy to take your monetary contribution! Let us know which item(s) would you like us to purchase, provide us with the monetary donation, and we will do the shopping for you!

When are items due?

Our volunteers would like to begin receiving donations as quickly as possible to allow us time to assemble the baskets. We would appreciate all items to be received by Sunday, October 6 in the evening. We will work with you and your needs, so please contact Carlyn Werderman at 562-587-5487 to discuss when items can be picked up or dropped off. We also invite you to join us for our upcoming quarterly Palmer Alumnae Leadership Council meeting. The meeting will take place on Sunday, September 22 at 2 pm at the Dezember Alumni House on the Whittier College campus. We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to drop off your items and hear about additional upcoming events that will be occurring within our organization.

Who is in charge?

Carlyn Werderman ‘12 and Ellie Maas ‘10 are the lead volunteers for this project.

Where are items being collected?

Carlyn Werderman’s parents’ home in La Habra will be the central location for item collection. Please call Carlyn at 562-587-5487 for questions and to discuss donations.

However, the entire team is happy to help. Let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
